Good turbo trainer, but...

I was looking for a trainer to cycle indoors. My reason was mainly that I do not like to ride in the rains. Getting wet is ok, but the cleaning up the bike needs after the ride is crazy. Plus roads are slippery, cars splash you, etc. Did research into different kinds of trainers - wheel on, wheel off, smart trainers, magnetic trainers, fluid trainers, etc. In the end I settled for Tacx Boost because:
1. known brand (Garmin)
2. comes with garmin speed sensor (I already have the cadence sensor from Decathlon)
3. folds up nicely and can be tucked away under my work desk when not in use
4. not much space in our houses (Mumbai, you know) so can't keep taking the wheel off and putting it back on everytime
5. The base is very solid, construction and quality are really good. The provided QR skewer fit nicely into my bike (Fuji sportif 105).

Overall, I am very satisfied with this. I use it on the "2" resistance setting since that is what Zwift recommends. Sensors pair very easily with Zwift and I find myself not getting too bored spinning indoors. The block that supports the front wheel is pretty solid and can be used as a handle when the trainer is folded up. It was very easy to assemble - instructions are present in print and available on Garmin's site as well as many videos on YouTube explaining how to set it up. Very easy to install the bike in the trainer and take it off. Entire process of setting it up in the morning takes me just one minute.

The trainer itself is not too noisy - I usually wear my airpods and watch a movie or cruise along on Zwift listening to music so the noise doesn't really bother me or anyone in my home.

Couple of things I don't like about this trainer:
1. The wire with the lever thingy for the resistance adjustment doesn't fold anywhere but remains hanging and is bit annoying
2. The resistance can only be lowered until "2". I cannot get it to "1" no matter what. Haven't found any solution to this problem - I don't know if this is even a problem or just the way it is supposed to work.

Overall, I'd recommend this trainer to someone looking at a reasonably priced option and starting off on indoor cycling. Do know that it requires tremendous discipline to cycle indoors (fan and ac highly recommended) and tons of self-motivation to adhere to your goals.
