The Travel Keeper is inserted into the rear dropouts when the wheel is removed for cleaning, storing or transporting bikes. Designed to maintain chain tension during cleaning. A packing plate is attached for keeping disc brake pads apart. Quick release lever allows for fast installation and removal.
Designed for bikes with both 130/135mm dropout spacing.
The quality of product is very good however not a necessary item to have. The same function (front fork) can be done by using items easily foraged from packing material available at local bike shops.
If you take your bikes along on your vacation/work trips, this is a must-have basic accessory - to keep your chain & disc break secure (when you hang the bikes on a car-rack or keep them in your boot/back seat after removing the rear-wheel).
